PROPERTY TAXES

Despite soaring utility costs, general inflation and the downshifting of costs from federal and state programs to the county, she worked to keep budget increases modest

Starting on day 1 she advocated to have videos of meetings. Meetings are now on the Grafton County YouTube Channel

Katie wrote the Rules of Procedure for Commissioner meetings to continue access on Teams

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEMS

She worked with local Fire Chiefs and Select Boards to promote a plan to regionalize EMS services

The Commissioners contracted with Municipal Resources, Inc for a deep dive into the current state of EMS services in Grafton County and potential solutions. The report can be found here.

SOCIAL SERVICES

Katie prioritized funding to social service agencies to help keep the elderly and disabled in their homes. She and the other Commissioners leveraged moneys from the Opioid Abatement Fund to provide services and equipment to address the opioid crisis in Grafton County.
